The current situation
Did you know that women make up only 16% of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) professionals in the European Union? That's right, despite representing over half of the EU population and workforce, women are significantly underrepresented in this important industry. Even in leadership roles, women are struggling to get a seat at the table.
But don't lose hope! There are ongoing efforts to address this issue and promote gender diversity in the tech industry. From mentorship programs to outreach initiatives, there are many organizations and individuals working to ensure that women have equal opportunities and representation in the field.
Approaching the problem
Here at dualoop, inclusivity and diversity are our core values. That’s why women consultants make up 40% of our team.
However, the gender gap in tech is a significant problem. Women currently hold only 26.7% of tech-related jobs.
That’s why we’ve decided to organise an event which aims to connect, educate, and inspire women in tech.
